Technological revolution at the service of dermatology: penetration and efficiency never achieved before.

sesderma nanotecnología

“Technology that transports active ingredients in nanometrically sized liposomes, with great power of penetration”.

Sesderma has pioneered the application of nanotechnology in the development of dermocosmetic products. That is how it achieves previously unheard off dermatological results.

Treatments can be administered via topical, oral, otic and ophthalmic routes and by injection. Liposomes penetrate the layers of the skin:

  • √ corneocyte (transcelular route).
  • √ intercorneocytary spaces.
  • √ cutaneous annexes.

Characteristics of liposomes

  • - They are extraordinarily small vesicles composed mainly of phospholipids.
  • - Similar in composition and structure to the cell membrane.
  • - They carry all types of active ingredients (liposoluble and hydrosoluble).
  • - They allow for a controlled release of active ingredients, enabling them to act on their target.
  • - They "protect" the active ingredients they carry inside and bring greater stability to the formulation.
  • - Thanks to their level of penetration and controlled release, a smaller amount of active ingredient may be used, reducing unwanted adverse effects.
  • - The main ingredient of the liposome, phosphatidylcholine, has the following properties:

Our liposomes...

Nanotech employs liposomes of pharmaceutical grade, homogeneous and with small particle size (100nm), depending on the active ingredient and the lipid mixture), and unilamellar, i.e. with a single bilayer.

ADVANTAGES OVER OTHER LIPOSOMES

  • - Due to their size, higher levels of penetration.
  • - Greater stability.
  • - Greater flexibility that allows it to adapt to environments of different polarity.
  • - GRAS generally regarded as safe
