Seborrheic-prone skin
Seborrhea is a benign condition that progresses with outbreaks, i.e. episodes with the most acute injuries improve over time but do not disappear, due to the chronic nature of the condition. It occurs primarily in areas where there is a greater number of sebaceous glands:
- Face.
- Scalp.
- Ears, eyebrows, nose, ears, chest.
- Intertriginous areas.
Is characterized by redness, flaking and irritation of the areas affected.
The result is a pinkish, edematous aspect, covered with scabs and yellowish desquamation of the affected skin.
This condition, known as cradle cap, can also affect babies and small children up to 3 years, and unlike its adult version is characterized for being harmless and temporary.
